There’s no doubt things aren’t going well as we head into President Obama’s final year.

An anemic recovery, terrible race relations, mounting debt, chaos in the Middle East and government scandals have done serious damage to the credibility of the administration.

Monday, Quinnipiac University released a revealing poll that helped articulate just how fed up the American public is with the direction of the country.

From Politico:

“Americans are mad as hell about the way things are going in the United States. It’s not clear if they’re going to take it anymore.

More than seven in 10 Americans — 71 percent — said they are dissatisfied, according to the results of a new Quinnipiac University poll released Monday. And 41 percent indicated that they are “very dissatisfied.”

Just 2 percent of the registered voters surveyed said they were “very satisfied,” while 26 percent said they were “somewhat satisfied.”

A whopping 71% percent, almost 3 out of every 4 Americans, are upset with the way the country is heading.

That is a significant number, but perhaps even more surprising is the fact that only 2% of registered voters are very satisfied.

Shocking.  This basically means 98% of the country is dissatisfied in some way.

Those on the left will surely try to point to Congress as the reason these numbers are so awful.  Which is valid, but even if you take away a generous 20% and attribute that to Congress, that still means that half the country is unhappy and it doesn’t even begin to explain why only 2% of the country is pleased.

Not to mention the fact that Democrats have had a significantly more prominent role in shaping what bills have made it to the president’s desk over the last 7 years.

Look no further for an explanation as to why Donald Trump, Ben Carson, and Carly Fiorina are running 1, 2, and 3 in Iowa.

Bottom line, a vast majority of the American people aren’t happy, in both parties.
